On July 9, 1991 at the Blue Horizon in Philadelphia Frankie Mitchell and Kenny Vice headlined the boxing show fighting for the vacant NABF Lightweight Title. Mitchell stopped Vice in the 2nd round. On the undercard, fighting in his 13th professional fight, future champion Bernard Hopkins met Danny Mitchell in a super middleweight bout. Hopkins stopped Mitchell in the 1st round.
