HISTORY: This is an original, two page, hand written letter by famous trainer/manager Angelo Dundee dated December 3, 1964 to the promoter of Gert (Hottie) van Heerden. The content is an offer for Dundee's fighter, Willie Pastrano, to fight Gert (Hottie) van Heerden in South Africa for $70,000. Dundee, however, was considering a rematch for Pastrano with Terry Downes. In the end neither fight materialized and Pastrano would fight Jose Torres in his next fight.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, hand written and signed letter on lined paper. Includes two full Angelo Dundee signatures and two signatures simply, Angelo. All in red ink. Includes original folds. Includes original folds. No tears. Clean on both pages. Dated December 3, 1964 when Dundee was also handling heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali. 6 1/2" x 10." Rare, early letter of one of boxing's most noted trainers.
