On September 24, 1935, heavyweights Joe Louis and Max Baer entered the ring with their careers going in opposite directions. Louis, undefeated, was a rising star in the division. Baer, the former heavyweight champion, was trying to rebound from his stunning loss to Jimmy Braddock a few months earlier. Louis demolished the former champ and knocked him out in the 4th round. Notable artist Joseph Golinken has captured the dominance of Louis with this original limited edition lithograph. Unnumbered, but limited to a 50 count. Signed by Golinken in pencil. Circa 1935.
