MARCIANO, ROCKY-EZZARD CHARLES ORIGINAL PHOTO (1954-PRE FIGHT)

On June 17, 1954 Heavyweight Champion Rocky Marciano defended his title against Ezzard Charles at Yankee Stadium in New York. It was Marciano's third defense of the title he took from Jersey Joe Walcott a little over two years earlier and it proved to be a tough one. Charles fought and highly competitive fight, but lost a 15 round decision to the champion. Presented here is an origianl Bauman photography photo of the two before the fight.
