HISTORY: On June 17. 1979 at the Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas WBC Featherweight champion Danny "Little Red' Lopez defended his title against Mike Ayala. Lopez knocked Ayala out in the 15th round. Ayala took a knee in both the 7th and 11th rounds. Fight was named Ring Magazine Fight of the Year. Also on the show future world champion Salvador Sanchez won a 12 round unanimous decision over Fel Clemente.
