ORTIZ, CARLOS-DUILIO LOI ON SITE POSTER (1960)

On June 15, 1960 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco Carlos Ortis defended his World Lightweight Title against tough Duilio Loi of Italy. Ortiz won a close, split 15 round decision to retain his title. Presented here is a rare on site poster from this event.
This poster pictures both fighters. It is cardboard measuring 22" x 28." There are several tack holes from mounting. The poster advertises the original date, June 1st, which was postponed 15 days. There is some light fading. The photo images remain strong. No creases. Edge tear with no paper loss. There is a small outline around the JUNE 1 at the top, likely occuring with the date change being placed over it. No creases. Small corner chip in lower left corner.
