HISTORY: On July 27, 1922 at Boyle's Thirty Acres in Jersey City, New Jersey world lightweight champion Benny Leonard defended his title against Lew Tendler. Leonard won a close 12 round decision.  Referee Harry Ertle in post-fight interview, given to a reporter of New York Morning World, voiced his opinion that "It was Leonard all the way".
