Archie Moore was born on December 13, 1913 in Benoit, Mississippi. He won the World Light Heavyweight Title from Joey Maxim on December 17, 1952. He retired after an exhibition match with Nap Mitchell on August 27, 1965 with a final record of 183-22-9 with 1 no contest and 129 KO's. Presented here is a hand written letter from Moore.
