Archie Moore was born on December 13, 1913 in Benoit, Mississippi. He won the World Light Heavyweight Title from Joey Maxim on December 17, 1952. Moore fought memorable fights with Rocky Marciano, Floyd Patterson, Harold Johnson and Cassius Clay among others. He retired after an exhibition match with Nap Mitchell on August 27, 1965 with a final record of 183-22-9 with 1 no contest and 129 KO's. Offered here is a scarce red leather boxing glove which has been boldly signed by the late Archie Moore.
This is a red leather, regulation size, left handed boxing glove with an Everlast label at the wrist. Glove is clean and unused with a small shapie spot at the far end of the backhand (not noticeable when looking at the glove).
