HISTORY: LeRoy Neiman (born LeRoy Leslie Runquist, June 8, 1921 – June 20, 2012) was an American artist known for his brilliantly colored, expressionist paintings and screenprints of athletes, musicians, and sporting events.
Offered here is a signed boxing glove of LeRoy Neiman on which he has also included a small self portrait. This glove was signed for a NYPD Police Captain and this includes a picture of Neiman with that police captain. Signed at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York on September 16, 2008 at the press conference for Roy Jones, Jr. against Joe Calzaghe.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a left hand, red leather boxing glove with Everlast label at the wrist. Boldly signed in black sharpie and includes a self portrait above the signature. Clean with no noticeable flaws. 10 ounce glove. This glove was signed for a NYPD Police Captain and this includes a picture of Neiman with that police captain (who is on the left). Signed at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York on September 16, 2008 at the press conference for Roy Jones, Jr. against Joe Calzaghe.
