LOUIS, JOE ORIGINAL WIRE PHOTO (1935-AFTER CARNERA FIGHT)

Joe Louis was born on May 13, 1914 in Lafayette, Alabama. On June 22, 1937 he won the World Heavyweight Title from James J. Braddock. He retired after losing to Rocky Marciano on October 26, 1951. His final record was 63-3. Presented here is an antique wire photo of Joe Louis in Harlem after defeating Primo Carnera.
This antique wire photo of Joe Louis is 6 1/2" x 8 1/2." There are small creases in the corners and along the edges. The upper right corner is clipped and there are marks on the photo from where it was used in print. There is some paper attached to the photo along the bottom edge.
