On July 22, 1959 at the Centennial Exposition Arena in Portland, Oregon heavyweights Eddie Machen and Reuben Vargas met for the second time in two months. Machen won a unanimous decision in their prior meeting. In this fight Machen found the range and stopped Vargas in the 6th round. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting 1st round action.
