HISTORY: On July 3, 1926 at Comiskey Park in Chicago world lightweight champion Rocky Kansas defended his title against Sammy Mandell. Mandell outboxed Kansas and won an easy decisionin ten rounds to take the title. First title bout under new law -- referee sole arbiter. Referee Collins scored the bout 8-1-1 in favor of Mandell. Offered here is a very scarce, original wire photo from this fight which depicts action.
