On March 25, 1960 at Madison Square Garden in New York welterweights Benny "Kid" Paret and Federico Thompson fought in a title elimination bout. After 12 rounds the fight was declared a draw. Paret got the title shot in his next fight. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting action during the fight with Thompson landing a right hand on Paret.
