LOUIS, JOE-BOB PASTOR II FIGHT FILM BROADSIDE (1939)

On September 20, 1939 at Briggs Stadium in Detroit heavyweight champion Joe Louis defended his title against Bob Pastor. In this their second meeting Louis knocked Pastor out in the 11th round in defense of his title. Pastor was down four times in round one and once in round two. Offered here is a broadside advertising the showing of the fight film of the bout at the State Theatre in Boonton, New Jersey.
This original broadside is paper naming the fighters and the venue. Has the original center folds. Date neatly written in top right corner. Minor edge and corner wear. Generally clean. 5 1/2" x 8 1/2."
