O'BRIEN, NEW YORK JACK-TIM KEARNS BROADSIDE POSTER (1899)

On September 29, 1899 at the Broadway Athletic Club in New York lightweights "New York" Jack O'Brien and Tim Kearns met in the main event. O'brien won by knockout in the 13th round. Offered here is a scarce original broadside poster to this event.
This broadside poster is paper naming the fihgters and venue and includes ticket prices. Glued lightly to antique board at top center and can likely be removed. Minor tear at bottom border and top left corner with tiny paper loss in left top corner. Some foxing from age. Minor crease in lower right corner. Result written in pencil at bottom of poster.7 1/8" x 10 3/8."
