HISTORY: On February 7, 1944 at Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California middleweights Holman Williams and Jack Chase headlined the boxing show. After ten rounds the future Hall of Famer Holman Williams won a close decision. "Holman Williams, 161, Chicago, was awarded a close decision last night over Jack Chase, 159, Walsenburg, Colo., after 10 fast rounds. Williams ended with a furious two-fisted attack that won him the nod. There were no knockdowns. Williams had the better of the infighting and Chase scored at long range." -Associated Press.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, cardboard, on site poster which names and pictures both fighters. Bold print and bold, clear pictures. No center crease. Tack holes near each corner. Union label stamp at right edge. Edge, surface and corner wear. Some soiling. Presents very well. 22" x 28."
