On May 11, 1990 the New York Daily News 64th annual golden gloves championships were held at Madison Square Garden in New York. Future world champion Lonnie Bradley defeated Marc Simmons in the 156 lb. open competition. Ricky Frazier defeated Lou Del Valle in the 178 lb. open competition.
