On February 26, 1958 at the brand new Palacio de Deportes in Havana, Cuba world lightweight champion Joe Brown fought Orlando Echevarria in the main event. This was the opening event at the new facility built under General Batista. It was also the last major fight held at the arena before Fidel Castro came to power. Brown himself was briefly detained by the rebels before the fight. He took it out on Echevarria who he knocked out in the very first round. Offered here is an extremely rare original, official program to this event.
