HISTORY: On March 14, 1900 at Woodward's Pavilion in San Francisco heavyweights Joe Butler and Jack Stelzner met in the featured bout. The bout ended in the 2nd round when referee Jack Welch disqualified Joe Butler. Butler claimed he had knocked Stelzner down five times in two rounds, the referee would not count him out. Offered here is a rare, original, official program for this event.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, complete, official program which pictures both fighters on the cover and which includes photos and bios of each inside. 8 pages complete. Has a center crease. Tape at binding and on front and back cover as well as small tape repairs inside. Scored in pencil with the word Foul written at the 2nd round. Edge wear. Minor soiling.
