On July 8, 1946 at Lakefront Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio former world light heavyweight champion Anton Christoforidis fought a last minute replacement, Butch Lynch in the co feature. Christoforidis dominated and knocked Lynch out in the 3rd round. In the other feature middleweight contender Tommy Yarosz won a ten round decision over Mose Brown (who was suspended for life after the fight).
