On March 21, 1960 at Madison Square Garden in New York future Olympic and World Heavyweight Champion Cassius Clay competed and fought Gary Jawish in an Inter City Golden Gloves match. Despite being outweighed by nearly 60 pounds Clay battered Jawish and stopped him in the third round. Also competing were future heavyweight champion Jimmy Ellis and future heavyweight champion Leotis Martin. Offered here is a rare, original, official program for this event.
This original, official program consists of 20 pages complete including the covers. Tight binding. No loose pages. Not scored or written in. All competitors are pictured including Cassius Clay, Jimmy Ellis, Leotis Martin, Billy Daniels and Lloyd Marshall. Small stain at lower left corner which is light. Paper clip mark on front cover. No center crease, but has a crease in upper right corner and minor edge wear. 6" x 9."
