CLAY, CASSIUS-SONNY LISTON I OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1964)

HISTORY: On February 25, 1964 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida world heavyweight champion Sonny Liston defended his title against upstart and undefeated Cassius Clay of Louisville. Liston was a heavy favorite, but Clay proved to be the far superior boxer and exhibited great quickness of hand and foot and stopped Liston in the 7th round. Offered here is a scarce, original, official program for this event.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, official program which pictures both fighters on the cover and which consists of 12 pages complete plus covers. Tight binding. Clean inside and out. Not scored or written on. No center crease. Minor crease at lower right corner and along top border. Very minor edge and surface wear. 9" x 12." Overall a very nice example.
