HISTORY: On June 26, 2010 at the Alamodome in San Antonio middleweights John Duddy and Julio Cesar Chez, Jr, fought for the vacant WBC Siver Middleweight Title. Chavez, Jr. prevailed winning a unanimous 12 round decision. n a Middleweight bout which was the main event of 'Latin Fury 15' at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Chavez Jr. used a fast left jab as implored by trainer Freddie Roach all night to back up Duddy and overpower him for most of the bout, and appeared to win every round after the first two rounds, which appeared somewhat close and may have been won by Duddy. The bout opened up after that, with Chavez fighting the entire bout from that point on at center ring, and Duddy, who attempted to trade blows with Chavez Jr., consistently beaten to the punch and overpowered by the sheer accuracy of blows. Duddy did stagger Chavez, Jr. at one point, but the fight was clearly dominated by Chavez, Jr. Julio Cesar Chavez father of the winner, was in attendance. Chavez Jr. went to 41-0-1, 30 kayos. John Duddy fell to 29-2, 18 kayos.
