DURAN, ROBERTO-JAVIER AYALA OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1973)

On March 17, 1973 at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles lightweight champion Roberto Duran fought Javier Ayala in a non title affair. Duran knocked Ayala down in the 10th round en route to winning a unanimous ten round decision. Also on the show Danny "Little Red" Lopez stopped Kenji Endo in the 2nd round of a featherweight bout. Offered here is a rare, original, official program for this event.It is signed on the cover by "Gato" Gonzalez and two others.
This is an original, 4 page official program with bout listing. Not scored. Signed on cover. Has a center crease. One tear on right edge with no paper loss. Pencil notation inside. Tight binding. Clean. 8 1/2" x 11." Extremely rare, the only example we have seen.
