Regular price $275.00
On January 22, 1973 former Olympic Gold Medalist George Foreman pummeled Heavyweight Champion Joe Frazier in 2 rounds to win that coveted title. A little over a month later Foreman became the first Heavyweight Champion since Jack Johnson in 1909 to make a personal appearance at The Hippodome Queen's Square in Wolverton, England. He did so at the invitation of promoter Alex Griffiths who held a boxing show that evening. Presented here is the program for that show of March 13, 1973 which includes the appearance of George Foreman.
This official program of March 13, 1973 features a picture of George Foreman on the cover. On the inside there is a statement of appreciation for Foreman's appearance from the promoter. Ten pages in nice condition. Unscored. No tears or writing. Clean inside and out. Has a center crease. 7" x 9 1/2". A rare program, the only copy I have seen.
