FULLMER, GENE-FLORENTINO FERNANDEZ OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1961)

On August 5, 1961 at Ogden Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah world middleweight champion Gene Fullmer defended his title against hard punching Florentino Fernandez. Fullmer prevailed winning a close 15 round split decision. Fullmer fractured his elbow during the fight. Offered here is a scarce, original, official program for this event.
This original, official program pictures both fighters on the cover and consists of 22 pages complete plus covers. Tight binding. Not scored. Clean inside and out. No center crease. Small closed tear on back cover border with no paper loss. 8 1/2" x 11." A rare program, especially in this condition.
