HISTORY: On April 29, 1995 at the U.S.Air Arena in Landover, Maryland Bernard Hopkins and Segundo Mercado met for the vacant IBF world middleweight title. These two had fought to a draw 4 months earlier, but this time Hopkins prevailed stopping Mercado in the 7th round to win the title.
