LEWIS, LENNOX-MICHAEL SIMUWELU & MIKE MCCALLUM-MICHAEL WATSON OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1990)

HISTORY: On April 14, 1990 at Royal Albert Hall, Kensington, London, United Kingdom WBA middleweight champion Mike McCallum made his 2nd title defense against Michael Watson. McCallum knocked Watson out in the 11th round. On the undercard, future world heavyweight champion, Lennox Lewis fought his 9th professional fight against Michael Simuwelu. Lewis stopped him in the very first round. Lewis landed a right lead high on the head of Simuwelu and followed with a left hook to the chin that sent Simuwelu down on his back. Simuwelu used the ropes to get to his feet but was unable to beat the referee's count of ten. Offered here is a scarce, original, official program for this event.
