MARCIANO, ROCKY-ARCHIE MOORE SCORE SHEET (1955)

On September 21, 1955 Rocky Marciano defended his Heavyweight Title for the last time defeating Archie Moore in Yankee Stadium. It brought his record to 49-0, a mark challenged but to this day never eclipsed. Moore didn't go easily. He knocked down the champ early, but was himself stopped in the 9th round after being worn down by the relentless attack of Marciano. Presented here is the official scoresheet from this event.
This scoresheet is 9" x 12" and has some light soiling along the bottom edge and has been dated. The scoresheet is horizontally creased in the center where it was folded and there are smaller creases along the edges and in the corners. No rips or tears.
