HISTORY: On March 14, 1980 at Madison Square Garden in New York the New York Daily News Golden Gloves Finals were conducted. In the sub novice 139 lb. division Mark Breland defeated Angel Garcia. In the open division 119 lb. category Hector Camacho defeated Tyrone Jackson and in the heavyweight category Mitch Green defeated Merling Castellano.
