SAVOLD, LEE-BILL POLAND OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1942)

On July 21, 1942 at Scott Stadium in Toledo, Ohio heavyweights Lee Savold and Bill Poland fought in the main event. Savold knocked Poland out in the 9th round. This "Bomber for MacArthur" fight card was sponsored by American Federation of Labor. Poland was given a 5-minute rest in 4th after a low blow. Offered here is a rare, original, official program for this event.
This is an original, 6 page, official program which pictures Douglas MacArthur on the cover. Includes scorecard and photos of the fighters. Not scored. Tight binding. Has a center crease. Mild surface wear and mild soiling. 8 1/2" x 11."
