On June 27, 1972 at the Convention Center in Las Vegas heavyweights Muhammad Ali and Jerry Quarry battled for Ali's NABF Heavyweight Title. Ali prevailed stopping Quarry in the 7th round. Also on the show light heavyweight champion Bob Foster scored a spectacular knockout against Jerry's brother Mike Quarry. Offered here is an original closed circuit poster advertising the viewing of the fight which has been inscribed and signed by the poster's artist, Hall Of Famer Bill Gallo to trainer and noted cutman Al Gavin.
This poster is cardboard and has graphic depictions of the fighters. Signed in the lower left corner in pen, "To My Friend Al Gavin Bill Gallo 1993." Tape remnants in the corners from mounting. Mild creases in upper left and lower right corners. Bold color and sharp images. Minor edge and corner wear. 13 1/4" x 17 3/4."
