On December 16, 1950 at the Palais Des Sports in Geneva, Switzerland middleweights Sugar Ray Robinson and Jean Walczak met in the main event. Robinson won a unanimous 10 round decision. Offered here is a pewter pitcher award which was given to Sugar Ray Robinson at the time of this fight by the Swiss Boxing Federation. Comes from the family of Sugar Ray Robinson and includes a letter of authenticity from his son.
This is an original pewter pitcher. Inscribed near the base, "SUGAR RAY ROBINSON GENEVE 1950 FEDERATION SUISSE DE BOXE." Perfectly intact. Has two acorn design at top near lid. Clean with a few very minor scratches. 10" high. Comes with a letter of authenticity from son of Sugar Ray Robinson.
