On March 14, 1956 at Chicago Stadium welterweight champion Carmen Basilio defended his title against Johnny Saxton. Saxton upset Basilio winning a unanimous 15 round decision and the title. Offered here is a very scarce original press kit from this event.
This press kit is a folder style which contains 18 pages of information about the fight, fighters and venue. Interior is clean. Tight binding. Cover has some minor discoloration from age and the fight date has been neatly printed at the top right. Not creased or torn. 9 1/2" x 12 1/2." Very seldom seen.
