TERRELL, ERNIE-THAD SPENCER WIRE PHOTO (1967)

On August 5, 1967 at the Astrodome in Houston, Texas the WBA held a tournament for the heavyweight title vacated by Muhammad Ali's refusal to accept military induction. This show featured Ernie Terrell against Thad Spencer. Spencer knocked Terrell down in the 2nd round en route to winning a unanimous 12 round decision.
