HISTORY: Iran Barkley (born May 6, 1960 in Bronx, New York) is a retired American professional boxer who held world titles at middleweight (1988–89), super middleweight (1992) and light heavyweight (1992). On June 6, 1988 Iran Barkley defeated Thomas Hearns to win the WBC world middleweight championship.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is he original WBC world championship belt awarded to Iran Barkley for his victory over Thomas Hearns resulting in his winning the WBC world middleweight championship. The belt is 42 inches long on a green leather sash. It consists of three plates with Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis on the outside plates connected to a center plate with the WBC initials and logo which includes a raised relief of an athlete surrounded by flags. On the front of the sash in black sharpie Iran Barkley has printed, "THOMAS HEARNS 19-88 First Title W.B.C. Middleweight" and has signed his name, "Iran Blade Barkley." The sash shows wear at the ends wear it was buckled and attached when worn by Iran Barkley. Comes with an LOA from Iran Barkley dated July 12, 2011. Comes with a photo of Iran Barkley shown wearing the belt and another holding the belt.
