On September 18,1953 at the War Memorial in Syracuse, New York Carmen Basilio met world welterweight champion Kid Gavilan with the Welterweight Title at stake. Gavilan retained the title with a 15 round split decision over Basilio. Presented here is an original, full, unused ticket for this event.
