BASILIO, CARMEN-LEW JENKINS ON SITE POSTER (1950)

On March 6, 1950 rising welterweight star Carmen Basilio fought aging former Lightweight Champion Lew Jenkins at the State Fair Grounds Coliseum in Syracuse, New York. Basilio won a 10 round decision over jenkins. Presented here is an official on site poster from this event.
This poster pictures both fighters. It is paper measuring 22" x 28." Professionally linen backed. The poster is clean with no writing, rips,tears or tape. Bold color and print. Images remain bold. An outstanding example of a poster that may well be unique, the only example we have seen.
