Maria Bernardi (6/3/25-3/20/06) was a female wrestler in the 1940's and 50's. She wrestled under the name TIGRESS. Bernardi started in her teen years wrestling under the name of Maria Garibaldi in the Midwest and South. In 1952 she won the Women World Lightweight Championship. She also worked for 35 years as secretary for the Cauliflower Alley Club for retired wrestlers. Offered here is an original promotional photo of Maria Bernardi which she has signed.
