HISTORY: Tony Canzoneri was born on November 6, 1908 in Slidell, Louisiana. He won the World Featherweight Title on October 24, 1927 in a bout with Johnny Dundee. He won the World Lightweight Title on August 2, 1929 from Sammy Mandell. He retired after losing to Al Davis on November 1, 1939 with a final record of 141-24-10 with 44 KO's. Presented here is a signed and inscribed photo post card of Tony Canzoneri. This was an advertising postcard from the Tony Canzoneri Paddock Bar & Grill in New York. From the collection of former fighter Vince Handley.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a signed and inscribed in ink photo post card of Canzoneri in fight pose, "To Vinnie good luck from Tony Canzoneri." The post card measures 3 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. The card shows minor corner and edge wear. The back has advertising for Canzoneri's bar and grill. Clean with no staining. Not creased or torn. Unused.
