Primo Carnera, "The Ambling Alp," won the World Heavyweight Title on June 29, 1933 stopping Jack Sharkey in six rounds at Long Island City. Presented here is an original photograph of Primo Carnera in period dress as he looked at the height of his career. This endearing photograph pictures the massive 6'6" Carnera gently holding two newborn lion cubs.
This original photograph is 8" x 10". Sepia tone with a sharp, crisp image. Stamped on the reverse by the studio, Central Studios of Atlantic City, New Jersey. No creases, rips, tears or writing. Slightly wavy. A very fine image of this former champion.
