HISTORY: On December 5, 1950 at Cincinnati Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio world heavyweight champion Ezzard Charles defended his title against Nick Barone. Charles prevailed knocking Barone out in the 11th round. Charles was a 5 to 1 betting favorite. Charles put Barone down for the count with a right to the chin. A crowd of 10,085 produced a gross gate of $43,334.50.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original Penguin lighter. Engraved, BARONE vs CHARLES 1950. Clean. Needs flint, but appears operative. 1 1/2" x 2." Rare, the only we have seen. Accessed from the estate of Nick Barone.
