On May 3, 1924 world heavyweight champion Javk Dempsey appeared at Universal City in California for the occasion of making his boxing movie film. This wire photograph depicts Dempsey boxing with Ed Kennedy as part of the film. In his early ring career Dempsey defeated Kennedy to win the Pacific Coast championship.
