DUNDEE, JOE-JIMMY FINLEY ON SITE POSTER (1928)

HISTORY: On September 28, 1928 (postponed from September 21st) at the 16th Field Artillery Arena in Tampa, Florida world welterweight champion Joe Dundee fought Jimmy Finley in a non title affair. After ten rounds the fight was declared a draw by majority decision with one judge favoring Dundee.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, cardboard, on site poster which names and pictures both fighters. Bold color and print. Images are clear. Heavy center crease. The year 1928 lightly written in. Two spots, otherwise clean. Tack holes in corners. Edge and corner wear with small loss at center top and bottom borders and lower left corner. Matted, but can be easily removed. 14" x 22." Rare, the only we have seen.
