HISTORY: Vince Dundee (October 22, 1907 - July 27, 1949), the former New York State middleweight champion of the world was born Vincenzo Lazzara in Sicily in 1904. In 1933, after nearly 11 years in the ring, Dundee defeated Lou Brouillard over 15 rounds to capture the New York State middleweight title of the world. Dundee lost his claim to the crown when he was outpointed by Teddy Yarosz on September 11, 1934. Dundee retired with a record of 118 wins (28 knockouts), 20 losses and 13 draws. Dundee died at a Glendale, California sanitarium in 1949 of MS. Offered here is a photograph of Vince Dundee which he has boldly signed and inscribed. JSA authenticated.
