DURAN, ROBERTO LETTER TO WBA REQUESTING TITLE FIGHT (1983)

On June 16, 1983 at Madison Square Garden in New York World Junior Middleweight Champion Davey Moore defended his title against veteran former champion Roberto Duran. Duran dominated the fight and stopped Moore in the 8th round to win the title. Offered here is an original, one page letter from Roberto Duran to Dr. Elias Cordova of the World Boxing Association requesting this title fight with Davey Moore.
This is a one page typed letter dated February 16, 1983 and boldly signed in ink by Roberto Duran. Includes original folds. Bold type. Minor soiling in lower left corner. Minor toning from aging. Letter size, 8 1/2" x 11." Great and historic content.
