ELORDE, GABRIEL "FLASH-FRANKIE NARVAEZ ON SITE POSTER (1965)

On August 4, 1965 at Madison Square Garden in New York junior lightweight champion Flash Elorde fought Frankie Narvaez in the main event. Elorde won a controversial ten round decision. The decision caused a major riot with thrown chair and fire extinguisher axes. The rioting later spread to the streets as fans threw bricks from a demolished building across the street. Offered here is a scarce on site poster from this event.
