FIRPO, LUIS ANTIQUE PHOTO

Luis Firpo was born on October 11, 1894 in Junin, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He won the South American Heavyweight Title on April 30, 1920 from Dave Mills. On September 14, 1923 he fought Jack Dempsey for the World Heavyweight Title but was knocked out in the 2nd round. He retired after losing to Arturo Godoy on June 11, 1936 with a final record of 32-6 with 26 KO's. Presented here is an antique photo of Luis Firpo.
This antique photo of Luis Firpo is 6 1/2" x 8 1/2." There are small creases in the corners and along the edges. There is a rip along the left and bottom edges and there is some light soiling in the center of the photo.
