HISTORY: Willie Hoppe (born 11/2/1890-died 8/7/1958) was an American featherweight contender. He fought from 1911 until 1923 amassing a record of 46-16-19. He his career he fought important fighters in the division including Oakland Frankie Burns, Mexican Joe Rivers, Willie Ritchie and Fighting Dick Hyland. Offered here is an original, first generation photograph of Willie Hoppe depicting him in full fight pose as he looked at the height of his career.
